Ensign Andrew Borgdorff grew up just outside Chicago in Oak Park, IL. Andrew attended Oak Park and River Forest High School before heading to the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) as part of the great class of 2019. Andrew graduated with distinction from the Honors Physics program as a Bowman Scholar. While at USNA Andrew was a N* letter winning member of the Navy Sprint Football team. Off the field, Andrew enjoyed volunteering with the Midshipmen Action Group and served as the Brigade Adjutant during his 1/C year.
Andrew is pursuing a Master Degree of Applied Science in Applied Science (Operations Research) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) as part of the Bowman Scholar program. Following graduation from NPS Andrew will move to Charleston, SC to begin the Submarine Officer training pipeline.
Andrew now volunteers as a high school football coach at the Stevenson School and enjoys cycling in his free time.
